Despre atracție

Lake Valea lui Iovan is a reservoir created by damming the Cerna River downstream of the confluence with the Iovanul River, at an altitude of 695 m. Lake Iovanul is part of the Domogled- Valea Cernei National Park and is located between the peaks of the Godeanu massif and the Mehedinți massif.

This area is less known to travellers, but it is an area worth admiring.

For sports lovers, the route to the lake can be done by bike, and fishing lovers can relax by fishing on the lakeshore.

You can admire the wilderness and the lake, which at times turns emerald in the sunshine.

♥ Tips & Tricks:

On the road linking Baile Herculane, Cerna village and the lake dam, the road is quite difficult due to unpaved areas or old asphalt remnants in a serious state of degradation.

Go with a group to this area as it is quite remote and phone signal is poor or non-existent.
